Valentines Day Concert
with
organists Wanda Griffiths & Stephen Marshall

All Pilgrims Concert Series presents organists Wanda Griffiths and Stephen Marshall in a special Valentines featuring the duo-organist team of Wanda Griffiths and Stephen Marshall on Sunday afternoon, February 13, at 4:00 PM.

"Making music with another person within such close proximity of each other can be quite a challenge," says Dr. Griffiths. "With four hands and four feet involved, you need to 'dance' with the other person so that subtle musical nuances happen in complete synchronicity. Also, there's a certain amount of choreography involved so that you don't run into each other. When we first begin rehearsing a new piece, we often accidentally run into each other, with sometimes painful but frequently hilarious results. So we quickly learn how to choreograph our music-making so that injuries are minimized!"

Included on the program will be music by Gustav Merkel, Samuel Wesley, Felix Mendelssohn, Louis Vierne, Michael Burkhardt, and Carsten Lenz. There is no charge for the concert, but donations are requested.
