THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our freezer fund! Because of you we surpassed our goal of $5,000 and have now ordered this new 49-cubic food True freezer:
This freezer will allow us to continue picking up high quality rescued food from supermarkets and grocery stores. Last year we picked up nearly 50 tons of food that would have otherwise gone to the landfill.
Save the date!
Our spring fundraiser is May 19th at 6pm at All Pilgrims Christian Church, and this year we have a theme:
Bluegrass, Bluejeans and BBQ!
Great music by The Shed Boys, fantastic food, casual dress and both beer and wine tastings! We hope you can join us. As always, we need auction items. If you have something to donate please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our most popular auction item the last three years has been two unrestricted tickets on Alaska Airlines, thanks to volunteer and past board member David Petronic, a flight attendant with Alaska Airlines. Thanks to his work, Community Lunch is featured in the inflight magazine this month!! Check out page 15.
