Deepening Your Experience of the Presence of God

A class about finding your own spiritual practice – 8:45 to 9:45 AM Sundays, January 27 to March 10.

In the more than 2000 years since the time of Christ, people who would follow his example have developed many forms of spiritual practice that create deeper experiences of the Presence of God.  This abundance creates opportunities for people of all personality types and learning styles to find the practice that best suits them.  In this class we will learn about up to 40 different types of spiritual practice, and engage experientially with five.

The schedule for this class is Sunday mornings concluding by 9:45 so that members of choir may participate.  If you are not in choir, you are encouraged to go out for coffee or breakfast between class and the start of church at 10:30 AM.  Our text for the class is: “Paths to Prayer: Finding Your Own Way to the Presence of God” by Patricia Brown.  Please place your order for the book when you register for this class.  If the cost of the book is a hardship, please request a scholarship copy.

Deepening Your Experience of the Presence of God is taught by Kathleen Hosfeld, who is a Masters Degree candidate in Spiritual Direction from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University.  Kathleen is an All Pilgrims’ member, former Moderator, and a Strategic Planning Consultant who works with businesses, non-profit organizations, and faith communities.
