COVID UPDATE AND GUIDELINES

Home Churches Begin Meeting in Person on July 11th

This time of COVID allowed us to reach beyond our walls and connect online with people across the United States and around the world, allowing many to hear the message that "God loves you and there's nothing you can do about it," for the first time. Our Home Churches have been a valuable point of connection for many. Now, we look forward to our re-opening process.

Home Churches at church will begin meeting in person on July 11th.

Our intention is to have people experience the connection of others in these smaller, Home Church gatherings as we make intentional plans towards larger gatherings in the Fall. If you are interested in joining one of these groups or feel called to help them gather on Sundays, please reach out to Jeremy at office@allpilgrims.org or (206) 322-0487.

The guidelines for these gatherings and Frequently Asked Questions are below. We are excited for what the future holds for All Pilgrims and look forward to our continuing journey together.

Matthew 18:20 - For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.

COVID Frequently Asked Questions

When will people start gathering again at 500 Broadway?

Our first step in gathering again will be the establishment of some small groups focused on those who have been unable to experience our online worship. Think of them as Home Churches at church… these gatherings will begin on July 11th. If you are interested in joining one of these groups please contact the church office.

Why are we doing small groups?

This past year has shown us how valuable our online Home Church gatherings have been to those who participate. We want to provide that opportunity to connect for those who didn’t feel the need or have the ability to connect in that way. Also, this provides the safest way for us to begin gathering again.

Will we need to wear masks?

Yes, in all our public areas like the hallways, and large spaces like the sanctuary or fellowship hall. Where small groups gather the default is yes, until such time the group decides otherwise. If one person of the group is uncomfortable not wearing masks, or if one or more are not vaccinated, then the group members agree on the outset that they would continue wearing masks.

What about congregational singing?

At this time we are not planning to be singing together in our small groups who will be gathering in the building. If singing does happen in the small groups then it should happen while wearing masks.

What about singing in the choir?

The summer is usually a time of break for our choir. We are still in the process of figuring out how best we move forward with people gathering sometime in the future to do choral singing in the building. If folks gather on their own to sing, as members of All Pilgrims we expect them to wear masks.

Home Churches at Church groups:

When contacting the office to express your interest in joining, please be prepared to answer a couple of questions:

  • Are you fully vaccinated or not? Fully vaccinated means it has been two weeks since your final vaccine shot. This information helps us accommodate you and others.

  • What is your comfort level with mask wearing?

Guiding principles for these groups:

  • Group members will arrive between 10:00 am and 10:15 am on Sunday mornings so that everyone can get situated for the service together.

  • Group members commit to regular attendance for the summer months.

  • Group members will wear masks and physically distance themselves until such time as all members of the group are vaccinated and there has been a discussion where all members mutually agree to stop wearing the masks. Masks will be worn until such time as all members are comfortable with everyone not wearing masks.

  • After the service group members will spend about 45 minutes together allowing for folks to check-in, share, and support one another.

NOTE: We are looking for a small hospitality crew to welcome group members through the 10th Avenue East entrance and ensure rooms are ready. Please let Jeremy know if you are interested in helping.

Non-worship related information:

  • Outside groups may start renting space at APCC for their events and meetings. These groups will abide by current guidelines of the CDC, Washington State, King County, City of Seattle, and APCC.

  • For All Pilgrims groups who want to meet in the building, you may contact the office to make arrangements.
