On Sunday, April 28, we will get together with our friends from the IMAN Muslim community to watch a movie and share a meal. This event will take place here at All Pilgrims Christian Church, beginning at 5:30 pm.
The movie is “Trust Me: Shalom, Salaam, Peace,” a documentary about a summer camp for Muslim, Christian, and Jewish boys that took place in 2002. The idea of the camp was to counteract the hard feelings in America following 9/11 through this small, but exemplary program of introducing young boys of the three Abrahamic faiths to each other in a spirit of friendship and interfaith understanding — and to let them have fun together. “Trust Me” has won several awards, including the prestigious Parents’ Choice Award.
After the screening, we’ll gather together and discuss the movie and its message over a meal.
Come see this hope-filled movie and join in fellowship with our Muslim brothers and sisters!
