Helping Our Friends at Mary’s Place

Mary’s has a new Place!

So it’s time to stock the shelves with the necessities for homeless women and children.  All Pilgrims’ Gathering of Women and the Mission & Outreach team are sponsoring this effort to Shower Mary’s Place with Love.

On Sundays July 15 and 22, we will collect your gifts and good wishes in baskets in the entry area.  On the 15th, Marty Hartman (Executive Director) will join us in worship to share more of the story.

Here is a short wish list for you to choose from. (For the complete list, visit http://www.marysplaceseattle.org/support-us/share-your-materials )

*All Pilgrims has supported Mary’s Place for several years as one of the options on our Christmas Angel Tree.  Born as an outgrowth of the Church of Mary Magdalene, where spiritual needs were met and a sense of community was (and is) nurtured, Mary’s Place focuses on physical and other resource needs.

Since 1999 Mary’s Place has been a day center for homeless women and children—a complete resource center so they no longer have to go to a different place for each of their needs.  Fifty homeless women helped design the program of two meals a day, hygiene facilities, showers, laundry, medical care, support groups and ample resources for housing, employment and benefits.
