To mark the observance of World AIDS Day, Rainbow City Band presents their winter concert,Quodlibet: Music to Rejoice, Reflect, and Remember. The Esoterics, a recognized Seattle contemporary vocal ensemble, will collaborate with the band to perform the West Coast premiere of Quilt Panels (for my love, for my grief, for my letting go). Quilt Panels is a 40-minute piece for concert band and chorus, composed by Robert Maggio, that reflects the story of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. A reception with the composer will follow the concert with an opportunity to view a panel of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. The concert will be held at the Edmonds Center for the Arts on Saturday, December 1st at 7 pm.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local organization(s) serving people living with HIV/AIDS. Tickets can be purchased here.
