Join fellow volunteers and donors Sunday, October 14th at 5pm at All Pilgrims Christian Church for this free event, with live jazz piano from Nick Allison, a great meal, wine, and a dessert dash to the highest bidders.

It’s our way of saying thank you to everyone who makes Community Lunch possible.

We hope to see you on the 14th of October!

We have had quite a bit of staff turnover in the past few months, so please be sure to stop by and welcome our newest members.  Jonah Talavera is pre-med major at Seattle U and now also a project manager at Community Lunch.  She takes Jim Mezzera’s place after he graduated and moved back to California.  Ryan Ely is our new driver, taking Dale Sadler’s place after Dale moved on to a full-time job.

Community Lunch hosted a summer intern program for the first time this year, with 5 students from four different universities participating.  In addition to helping out at each meal, they got an inside look at how a non-profit runs and took part in both companionship and de-escalation training.  They were a big help in managing the large number of youth groups who visited us this summer, including groups from Faribault, Minnesota and Dallas, Oregon.
